Established in 1998, we're a registered Scottish charity and a not-for-profit Trust. Every pound spent with us goes back into the local communities that we serve — over the past 25 years we've reinvested more than £14 million into our venues & services.
As an organisation that understands, cares about and engages with its community, we are the delivery partner of choice for West Lothian organisations responsible for helping residents improve their wellbeing, and for offering opportunities for all to make healthy lifestyle choices.
Across six leisure venues, two golf courses and nine community schools, we offer swimming pools, gyms, fitness & cycle studios, sports halls, an indoor golf simulator, padel & squash courts, an athletics track, all-weather pitches and more. But while many of our services have a serious purpose, we never lose sight of the power of play — being welcoming & supportive while spreading smiles & joy. That's what Xcite is all about.

As a charity, we're governed by a volunteer Board of eleven non-executive Directors — four nominated by West Lothian Council, six independent, and one employee Director — who set our strategic direction. Day-to-day operations are led by our Chief Executive and Senior Management Team. We're a member of Community Leisure UK and work in partnership with West Lothian Council, NHS Lothian, sportscotland and national Governing Bodies of Sport.
